The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
I felt I wanted to write a post about this topic because I firmly believe in educating consumers. It is often difficult to find somone who is good at the service that they provide. This holds true in any service industry. That is why I go into detail ( I know, I know,sometimes too much detail). 
I try to show examples of my work to gain your confidence and comfort to choose me as your lash extensionist. I also feel that it is important to be able to look at the actual work of anyone who you do decide to have your lashes extended by.
The following are lashes applied by me, Ria Hountas- Pagliaro of Lashtique. I picked these photos because they show a clear picture of how eyelash extensions should be applied. The application is seamless and attched to a SINGLE lash.
Of course you could see more on the Lashtique website-even before and afters.I will be constantly adding to my gallery but I unfortunatly am not a computer whiz and have to wait for my webmaster to do it all. Sometimes it just takes a while
One could have so much fun with lash extensions, there is such much flexibility in lash styling. It could be a a little or alot, or even alot alot and I am here to help you get that look! That look, should also be tailored for you, to make you look YOUR personal best and what you are comfortable with. There is room to “play” and get you the look you desire.

So why does the bad and the ugly happen?
Well, that calls for a complicated answer. One reason is that the technician or “stylist” is not qualified to perform eyelash extensions and/or did not recieve proper training. There are some people who bought an eyelash extensions kit with subpar supplies and learned off a DVD!!! You just cannot learn to perform such a delicate and tedious procedure off a dvd. There are many eyelash extension companies that sell supplies to anyone who wishes to purchase them. This provides such a disservice to the eyelash extension industry!
Another reason is that many technicians rush throught the procedure so they could see more clients in a day to make more money. They are not taking the time necessary to isolate each lash individually before attaching the extension. I have also seen lashes just glopped onto the tops of natural lashes, in either case the end result is severe damage to lashes!
Often times the saying “you get what you pay for” holds true. However, in all fairness I have seen some pretty bad and ugly work from big name spa’s and salons that charge ALOT! Many try to jump on the bandwagon of a sought out procedure but few have the precision and the talent to be able to do it properly.
The choice of products to use is also a biggy. I chose to use Xtreme lashes and products because they are the leading supplier and offer superior training. They have done their homework and offer only tried and true products. I gotta say I love them!
Ok… I won’t keep rambling on, I just want to say it is important to do your research and to choose a lash extensionist that has recieved proper training, uses superior products and knows how to give you the most beautiful, lush and stunning set of lashes! GO wink power !!!
